A continuous occupancy archive answers a planner's question, a regulator's question and a litigator's question differently. The underlying measurements are the same.

Available first

Commissioned studies

Targeted measurement campaigns answering a specific question — band occupancy for a refarming decision, incumbent density along a corridor, interference characterisation in a defined area.

Available before wide coverage exists, because a targeted study needs nodes where the question is, not everywhere.

Occupancy data subscription

Continuous occupancy statistics by band and region, through an API and map tiles. Scoped by frequency, geography, time resolution and history depth.

For operators planning deployments, incumbents monitoring their bands, and anyone who needs to know what a band looks like before committing capital to it.

Site qualification

Pre-deployment verification that a specific site and band are as clean as the plan assumes. Measured occupancy, identified emitters, interference risk.

Most useful immediately before capital is committed to equipment for a site.

Interference investigation

Evidence packs for disputes: measurements over the period in question, emitter characterisation, geolocation where the node geometry supports it, and a full chain of custody.

Supplied in a form the other side's expert can independently verify.

Coordination database validation

An independent measurement feed for the operator of a coordination database: where measured occupancy diverges from what the registry predicts.

Unregistered incumbents appear as unexplained occupancy. Over-declared incumbents appear as protected spectrum with nothing in it.

Statutory RFI monitoring

Continuous interference monitoring for parties with a statutory protection mandate, including radio astronomy advantage areas.

Long-tenure, traceable measurement against a defined protection threshold.

How the data is described

Every figure we return carries its method: the threshold that defines "occupied", the calibration model applied, how many nodes contributed, and where a result is interpolated rather than measured.

This is not caution for its own sake. A bare occupancy percentage is indistinguishable from one produced by desk modelling, and the difference between those two things is the entire reason to buy measured data.

What we do not do

SIGNATA does not operate networks — no wireless ISP, no fixed wireless access, no private 5G delivery. We do not resell spectrum, broker access, or advise on licence applications.

The reason is narrow and practical. A measurement operator that also transmits is a competitor to the parties it measures, and its data stops being neutral the moment anyone notices. Neutrality is not a value statement here; it is the product specification.
